This notice explains information handling for the TrendsWhat website and connected services, including the Maybe Tomorrow (내일할까) iOS app, its planner synchronization, shared projects, and community. Public articles, experiments, and worksheets can be read without signing in.

Information handled when you browse

Requests to the website and its content delivery services expose technical information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and response status to the systems delivering the page. Hosting and security providers may process this information to deliver content, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain availability.

We use Cloudflare for website delivery and security, including delivery of public media, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for hosting. Their processing may occur in countries other than your own. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Oracle’s privacy information.

Contact messages

If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate corrections or reproduction problems, handle privacy and rights requests, and maintain relevant correspondence.

Contact links open your email application. The contact page itself does not submit a form. Your email provider and the providers delivering the message also process it under their own terms. Do not include passwords, access tokens, payment details, private customer records, or unnecessary sensitive information. For a reproduction report, use fictional or appropriately redacted examples.

We do not publish your private message or attribute a quotation to you merely because you contacted us. If publication of a contribution is proposed, its attribution and permission need to be agreed separately.

Analytics

The production website includes Google Analytics to help understand page usage and technical performance. Analytics can involve identifiers, cookies, device/browser information, page interactions, and information about how a visit reached the site. The information available depends on browser settings, consent signals, and Google’s processing.

Learn more at How Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s privacy policy. Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. Browser cookie controls can also limit storage, though blocking cookies may affect features and does not prevent every network request.

Advertising and cookies

TrendsWhat includes Google AdSense technology on its learning pages and may display ads. Ad availability is subject to Google’s service and account status. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this website and other websites. Advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads based on browsing activity.

You can manage Google personalized-ad choices through My Ad Center and learn about other participating vendors’ choices through YourAdChoices. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove all ads. Advertisers and linked destinations have their own information-handling practices.

Where a consent message is presented, use its choices and settings to manage the purposes and vendors shown. Requirements differ by location; Google requires a certified consent platform integrated with the relevant framework for personalized advertising in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. This privacy notice is information about processing and choices; it is not itself a consent control.

Connected accounts and product features

Reading the publication does not require an account. If you use a connected sign-in or product feature, information may include your account identifier, name, email, profile image, sign-in provider identifiers, authentication/session records, and content you choose to synchronize or submit, such as planner data or feedback.

That information is used to authenticate access, associate your data with the correct account, deliver synchronization and requested features, and investigate errors or abuse. Session cookies or local device storage may be needed for those features. We do not ask you to send a third-party account password by email. A sign-in provider’s own privacy notice governs information it processes during sign-in.

Maybe Tomorrow planner and community

Maybe Tomorrow stores planner data on your device and synchronizes account-linked data with our server. This can include plans, dates, completion states, projects, memberships, invitations, and task assignments. Shared project information is available to the members involved. Account and authentication records include provider identifiers, email when supplied by the provider, nickname, session information, and sign-in timestamps. We use this information to provide your account, synchronize your data, and support collaboration.

Community posts, comments, nicknames, and associated activity are visible to other community users. Reports and block relationships are stored to handle abuse and control which content is shown to you. They are not displayed as public community posts. Operators may review reported content and related records to investigate concerns. Do not post private or sensitive information that you do not want other users to see.

Community post and comment text is sent to OpenAI to detect its language and generate Korean and English translations. We store the original text, translations, and related processing references. OpenAI may retain submitted text and response data under its service policies; deleting a post from the app does not itself delete provider-held copies. Private planner entries are not inputs to this community translation feature. See OpenAI’s privacy policy. Automated translations may contain errors.

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics for usage measurement and Google AdMob with mediation partners, including Liftoff Monetize, Meta Audience Network, and Pangle, for advertising. Depending on SDK configuration, consent, and the ad served, these providers may process device and app identifiers, IP address, usage events, ad interactions, and diagnostic information. Advertising identifiers are subject to iOS tracking permission. You can change that permission in iOS Settings and use the app’s advertising privacy options when available. Declining tracking permission does not prevent you from using the planner.

See Google’s privacy policy, Firebase privacy information, Liftoff’s privacy policy, Meta’s privacy policy, and Pangle’s privacy policy. These providers may process data internationally. Feedback sent through the app is delivered to the operator using Amazon Web Services email infrastructure; include only information needed to explain your request.

You can request deletion of your Maybe Tomorrow account from Settings → Account information → Delete account. This deletes the app account and its linked community records from the active application database. Deleting a post or comment individually hides it from the community; it is not necessarily an immediate erasure of every stored copy. The shared TrendsWhat sign-in account, records associated with other services, email correspondence, and third-party provider records are separate. Contact [email protected] for deletion or access requests involving those records, synchronized or shared planner data, or data remaining on your device. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Records required for legal obligations or security may be retained only as needed for those purposes.

AI-assisted editorial work and downloadable experiments

AI assists preparation of our public articles, diagrams, and code. Published lab inputs are labeled synthetic where fictional data is used. Browsing or downloading an article does not submit your own documents to an AI model through an interactive TrendsWhat prompt form.

A downloaded script runs in the environment where you choose to execute it. Read its scope and code before use. If you adapt an example to call a third-party AI service or process real records, that is a separate data-handling decision under the service’s terms and your permissions. Do not assume that a local synthetic demonstration authorizes uploading someone else’s information.

Purposes, providers, and international processing

Information is handled to deliver requested pages and features, maintain security and reliability, respond to messages, understand usage, and support advertising where applicable. Depending on the processing and applicable law, the relevant basis may include providing a requested service, legitimate operational interests, consent, or a legal obligation.

Hosting, content delivery, authentication, email, analytics, and advertising providers receive information needed for their roles. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security. We do not sell contact correspondence as a mailing list. Advertising-related processing may be treated differently under some privacy laws; the advertising choices above and contact route are available for related requests.

Providers may process information internationally. Their notices explain their processing and applicable transfer arrangements. Contact us if you need information about a particular category or provider rather than assuming all information remains in your country.

Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose and category: operational logs, correspondence, account records, and synchronized product content have different needs. Information may be retained as necessary to provide the service, investigate issues, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain security. This notice does not state a single fixed retention period for every system. You may contact us about the information relevant to you.

We use access controls and operational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending sensitive material that is unnecessary for your request. Public article assets and their synthetic examples are intended to be publicly accessible.

Your requests and choices

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out from certain processing. Email [email protected] with the request and enough context to locate the relevant information. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing personal information.

Do not send identity documents unless we explain why a specific verification step is necessary. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful retroactively. Some information may need to remain for legal or security reasons. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant privacy authority.

The publication is intended for a general audience, not as a service directed to young children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information that should not be retained, contact us with the relevant context.

Changes and contact
